Scott Finlayson, B.Sc.
Scott graduated from the University of British Columbia-Okanagan with a specialization in Freshwater Science.
During his undergrad, Scott completed a field courses on the natural history and taxonomy of EPT taxa.
Scott oversees training and project assignments for other taxonomists in the laboratory, monitors data quality and is the laboratory authority on biomass projects.
He is currently certified in 4 groups from the Taxonomic Certification Program of the Society of Freshwater Sciences.
Adam Bliss, B.Sc. Hons.
Adam graduated from the University of New Brunswick with honors distinction in biology.
He worked for several years with the Canadian Rivers Institute in Fredericton sorting and identifying freshwater organism for Environment Canada CABIN projects and has field experience from Wood Buffalo National Park monitoring programs.
He is currently certified in 3 groups from the Taxonomic Certification Program of the Society of Freshwater Sciences.
Rita Avery
Rita began as a sorting technician in 2010 and has shown an aptitude and passion for taxonomy. She completed the CABIN data entry technician course in 2015.
She is currently certified in 2 groups from the Taxonomic Certification Program of the Society of Freshwater Sciences
Claire McGowan
Claire has been with Cordillera Consulting since 2009. Beginning as a sorter, trained personally by Sue Salter, Claire has become an invaluable member of the team.
Claire oversees training and management of the sorting team, supervises subsampling and maintains exceptional QA/QC standards for the laboratory, in accordance with current CABIN and EEM guidelines.
